Established in 1989 as a way to promote motor sports in Thailand, Nakhonchaisri Motor Sports Complex, known as Thailand Circuit, is Thailand's premier venue for racing competitions and motor shows.
Certified according to Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) standards for road racing circuits, Thailand Circuit is a 12-15 metre wide, 2.5 kilometre long racing track. With its 13 turns, which includes two chicane turns, the circuit is popular with both motorcycles and cars and it regularly hosts both local and international events, the most recent of which is the Asia Cup of Road Racing. Several brands, including Yamaha and BMW, also use Thailand Circuit for marketing and club activities.
Thailand Circuit is the venue for the annual Thai Motocross Grand Prix (Thai MXGP), held under the auspices of Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of Thailand (FMSCT). Male and female riders from all over the world on 250cc and 450cc bikes take part in this three-day event which is broadcast around the world by TrueSport.
As well as hosting several racing events throughout the year, Thailand Circuit is also the home turf of Road Racing Motorsport Club (R2M) in association with Motorcycle Sports Association of Thailand (MSAT) and FMSCT.
