The inaugural Thailand Yachting Conference will take place on 10 January 2024 in the lead-up to the second Thailand International Boat Show at Royal Phuket Marina on 11-14 January 2024.
The Thailand Yachting Conference will bring together government officials and leading industry professionals from across Thailand and the world to share insights on regulations, cruising grounds, infrastructure, superyachts, technology and sustainability.
The main part of the conference will consist of panel discussions, which will cover four main topics: Superyachts, with inputs from yacht owners and captains on existing infrastructure; Yacht Charter, discussing current industry trends and regulations; Yacht management and crewing, which will tackle safety standards, training and insurance; and last but not least, technology and sustainability, which will look at alternative energy sources and sustainable infrastructure.
The event will also see a session with government officials from the marine department and key industry speakers providing the latest information on regulation changes in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand. The session will address immigration policies and procedures, cruising regulations, marinas, shipyards and refit facilities, yachting events, conferences and regattas.
The Thailand Yachting Conference is produced by Wade Pearce, founder of the Singapore and Thailand Marine Guides. Wade has been a prominent part of the yachting scene in Southeast Asia for many years, having produced the first Singapore Yachting Festival and SEA Yachting Conference in 2023.
